| Louisiana Bound |
On August 30, 2008 two of the Bella Vista Fire
Department's Paramedics left to go to Louisiana to help
with evacuation efforts due to hurricane Gustav . Arkansas has a mutual aid
agreement with Louisiana for such emergencies.
In the above picture are some of the firefighters
loading supplies to be taken with them to Louisiana. MRE
(meals ready to eat) were taken with enough should
others need some. Water was also taken.
Enough clothing and supplies were taken for a two week
stay.
Left to right, Firefighter/Paramedic Bo Armstrong and
Firefighter/Paramedic Brad Barnes left approximately 3:30 pm on
August 8, 2008, for Alexandra Louisiana. They could be gone
for up to two weeks.
