On the evening of July 6th, 2009 a report of a single Motor Vehicle Accident with possible entrapment was received.  Squads 1 & 2, Rescue 1, and Battalion 1 were dispatched to the scene located on the northbound side of hwy 71 south Kingsland Rd.  Two occupants were found. It is unknown if the occupants were using their seat belts at the time of the accident.  The driver was unconscious and passenger was somewhat incoherent.  Both occupants were treated for multiple life-threatening injuries and were transported to NWBC for additional care. 

You'll note the extensive damage to the vehicle and rock face that was impacted to stop their vehicle.  It's fortunate that no other vehicles were involved or in their path to be impacted.
