In the early, sunny afternoon of March 29th, 2010 a call was received by the Police and
Fire Emergency Dispatch with a report of a vehicle that had driven off of
the road while traveling on East Chelsea Rd. and had fallen a
significant distance , resting finally in the creek below. The
report continued, stating that the vehicle's occupant was
found laying in the creek beside the resting vehicle.
Significant vehicle damage was also reported, and is visible
in the photos below. (Photos courtesy of Andra Atteberry of
The Weekly Vista.)
Upon arrival by emergency personnel, the driver (sole occupant)
of the vehicle was in fact found outside of the vehicle with
significant
injuries being reported. The driver was transported
immediately via ambulance to NWMCBC.
It would stand to reason that the vehicle had tumbled
end-over-end after exiting the highway above, and had come
to rest as seen below.
