On 1-2-08 the Bella Vista Fire Department was dispatched
to a possible fireplace flue fire. Instead, a structure fire
was noted upon arrival.

Engine 3 seen in the photo was the first engine on
scene.

Fortunately, the fire was contained to the area around the
stove, the flue, and a small part of the attic.

The above photo is looking up the side of the flue.

This was a very cold morning. You may note the ice on the driveway
in both the above and below photos. The ice was from normal
spillage from the fire engine.

It was determined that the fire most likely originated
in the area surrounding the metal firebox and brick
around the firebox and flue.
