Make sure your home is safe by
conducting regular fire safety inspections.
Some Home Safety
Checks:
Avoid pan fires in the
kitchen by not overheating oils. Never leave a pot or pan
unattended during cooking.
Dryer lint is highly
combustible, so keep the dryer filter clean at all times.
Have the chimney checked for
defects and cleaned at least once a year. Other heating
devices such as furnaces and stoves should at least be
inspected yearly by qualified personnel.
Make sure furniture, curtains
and bedding are located well away from heating devices and
heat registers.
Smoke alarms are required on
each level of the house.
Do not overload circuits
because this can generate heat that could start a fire.
